Dauphin RCMP traffic stop leads to seizure of drugs

On October 18, 2024, at approximately 4:00 pm, officers with the Dauphin RCMP Detachment conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle located on Main Street in Dauphin.

An officer approached the vehicle, with three occupants, and spoke with the driver, identified as a 34-year-old male from Ebb and Flow First Nation.

During the conversation with the driver, the officer observed drug paraphernalia within the vehicle. The driver, along with the two passengers, a 46-year-old male and 39-year-old female, both from Ebb and Flow First Nation, were placed under arrest and secured in the police vehicles.

A search of the vehicle led to the seizure of 28 grams of cocaine, cash, bear spray, a machete and other drug-related paraphernalia.

The three accused were later released from police custody for a court appearance scheduled for November 28, 2024, in Dauphin where they will face charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and for Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose.


Dauphin RCMP continue to investigate.
