On September 3, 2024 at approximately 8:45 a.m., Battlefords RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Highway #16 near North Battleford, SK.
Officers responded immediately along with local fire and EMS. Investigation determined a semi and SUV collided. The driver and sole occupant of the SUV was declared deceased by EMS at the scene. He has been identified as a 37-year-old male from Saskatoon, SK. His family has been notified.
The driver of the semi reported no physical injuries to police.
Battlefords RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
Highway #16 was closed but has since reopened.
