On Jan. 28, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. Maskwacis RCMP received a report of an injured individual on 6 Mile Road, north of Highway 611. Emergency crews transported the victim to hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The circumstances of the victim's death are considered suspicious.
The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit has taken carriage of the investigation.
The victim has been taken to the Edmonton Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, and an autopsy is anticipated today.
