A 65-year-old woman from Red Bank First Nation, N.B., has died following a single-vehicle collision with a pedestrian in Red Bank, N.B.
On November 29, 2024, at approximately 5:10 a.m., members of the Blackville RCMP responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on Micmac Road, in Red Bank.
The collision is believed to have occurred when the vehicle collided with a 65-year-old pedestrian.
The pedestrian was transported to hospital as a result of her injuries. The driver of the vehicle sustained no injuries.
Members of Ambulance New Brunswick attended the scene.
On December 2, 2024, the 65-year-old woman died as a result of her injuries.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation, although poor weather and road conditions are believed to have been factors. An RCMP Collision Reconstructionist and a member of the New Brunswick Coroner's Office are assisting with the investigation.
