A 63-year-old woman from Saint-Jacques, N.B., has died following a single-vehicle crash in the LSD of Saint-Jacques, N.B.

On July 23, 2024, at approximately 3:32 p.m., members of the Saint-Léonard RCMP detachment responded to a report of a single all-terrain vehicle (ATV) crash on a trail in the community. The driver and sole occupant of the ATV was transported to hospital where she later died as a result of her injuries.

The crash is believed to have occurred when the driver lost control when negotiating a turn heading downhill.

Ambulance New Brunswick and members of the Haut-Madawaska Fire Department also attended the scene. A member of the New Brunswick Coroner's Office is assisting with the ongoing investigation, and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the woman's exact cause of death.
