44-year-old man dies following single-vehicle crash

A 44-year-old man from Miramichi, N.B., has died following a single-vehicle crash in Renous, N.B.

On June 14, 2024, at approximately 9:10 p.m., members of the Blackville RCMP detachment responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash involving a vehicle on Route 108 in Renous. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle died at the scene as a result of his injuries.

The crash is believed to have occurred when the vehicle left the road, rolled over, and the driver was ejected from the vehicle.

As part of the investigation, it was discovered that the vehicle had been stolen from Miramichi earlier that evening.

Members of the Renous-Quarryville Fire Department and Ambulance New Brunswick also attended the scene. The Miramichi Police Force, an RCMP Collision Reconstructionist and a member of the New Brunswick Coroner's Office are assisting with the ongoing investigation. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the man's exact cause of death.

The investigation is ongoing.
