39-year-old man dies following single-vehicle crash

A 39-year-old man from Burton, N.B., has died following a single-vehicle crash in Sheffield, N.B.

On March 22, 2024, at approximately 8:30 a.m., members of the Oromocto RCMP detachment responded to a repot of a single-vehicle crash on Route 105 in Sheffield. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle died at the scene as a result of his injuries.

The crash is believed to have occurred when the vehicle, travelling westbound, crossed the centre line, left the roadway and crashed into a number of trees.

Members of the Oromocto Fire Department, Ambulance New Brunswick, and Justice and Public Safety Officers also attended the scene. An RCMP Collision Reconstructionist and a member of the New Brunswick Coroner's Office are assisting with the ongoing investigation. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the man's exact cause of death.
