A 26-year-old man from Moncton, N.B., has died following a single-motorcycle crash in Perth-Andover, N.B.

On September 15, 2024, at approximately 3:53 p.m., members of the Perth-Andover RCMP responded to a report of a single-motorcycle crash next to Highway 2 in Perth-Andover.

The crash is believed to have occurred when the driver lost control of the motorcycle, left the roadway, struck a guardrail and was ejected from his motorcycle. The 26-year-old man and sole occupant of the motorcycle was transported to hospital, where he later died as a result of his injuries.

Ambulance New Brunswick attended the scene. A RCMP collision reconstructionist and a member of the New Brunswick Coroner's office are also assisting with the investigation. An autopsy will be scheduled to determine the man's exact cause of death.

The investigation into the collision is ongoing.
