A 24-year-old woman from Bloomfield (Carleton County), N.B., has been sentenced to 30 months in prison in connection with a drug trafficking investigation in Centreville, N.B.
On February 23, 2022, the New Brunswick RCMP's Federal Serious and Organized Crime (FSOC) unit seized approximately two kilograms of crystal methamphetamine at a business on Malenfant Boulevard, in Dieppe, N.B., and began an investigation into the trafficking of illegal drugs.
On March 2, 2022, a then 21-year-old woman was arrested without incident at a business on Burtt Street, in Centreville. She was released pending a future court appearance.
On March 21, 2023, 24-year-old Bronwyn Barbara Thomas, appeared in Woodstock Provincial Court and was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine. She was later released pending a future court appearance.
On December 5, 2024, Bronwyn Barbara Thomas was sentenced to 30 months in prison. Upon her release, she will be subject to a ten-year weapons prohibition, and will be ordered to submit a DNA sample.
This investigation was the result of an operation led by the RCMP FSOC unit and supported by Canada Post Corporation.
