A 19-year-old man from Saint-André has died following a single-vehicle crash in the community.

On August 31, 2024, at approximately 6:44 a.m., members of the Saint-Léonard RCMP Detachment responded to a report of a side-by-side vehicle that had crashed on Route 255 in Saint-André, New Brunswick.

The crash is believed to have occurred when the side-by-side went off a cliff and landed in a gravel pit. The driver and sole occupant of the side-by-side died at the scene as a result of his injuries.

Ambulance New Brunswick attended the scene, and a member of the New Brunswick Coroner's office is assisting with the investigation. An autopsy will be scheduled to determine the man's exact cause of death.

The investigation is ongoing.
