On February 11, 2023, at 3:50 pm, Winnipegosis RCMP received a report of an assault at a residence in Pine Creek First Nation.
Officers were advised that a 22-year-old male had been assaulted and was in the process of being picked up when one of the two suspects brandished a firearm. The victim then fled the scene.
As officers were responding to the scene, they received an update that several fights had broken out near the residence and that a vehicle had rammed another vehicle on the road. One vehicle was reported to have had its window shot out.
Upon arrival, officers met with several of the victims and after a quick search of the scene, located and seized a firearm. The two suspects fled the scene and one has yet to be located.
RCMP have issued a Warrant of Arrest out for 27-year-old Peter Flatfoot who is facing charges of Assault w/ Weapon and numerous firearms-related offences.
