Melfort RCMP have located and recovered the stolen black Cadillac Escalade SUV yesterday at approximately 3:30 p.m. in a rural area on the James Smith Cree Nation. The vehicle was located abandoned and contained no firearms. The vehicle has been towed and secured for further investigation.
Melfort RCMP in conjunction with the Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) are now looking to the public for assistance in locating 34-year-old Keenan Crawford Head, from James Smith Cree Nation, SK, in relation to the stolen vehicle. At this stage of the investigation, Head was believed to be the lone occupant of the vehicle.
Head currently is currently wanted for failing to comply with a release order, contrary to Sec. 145(5) of the Criminal Code, issued out of PAPS. Head is described as being approximately 5'9"and 150 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes.
Police consider Keenan Crawford Head to be armed and dangerous. If he is seen, do not approach, and report this sighting to police immediately by calling 911 or your local police of jurisdiction.
Melfort RCMP continues to conduct proactive patrols throughout the James Smith Cree Nation and surrounding communities, and are following-up on information provided to them. Melfort RCMP thanks the James Smith Cree Nation security for their assistance in this investigation and continued partnership.
