On November 22, 2023, at approximately 11:35 pm, The Pas RCMP received a report of a vehicle stolen from a residence on Crossley Avenue in The Pas. A pickup truck with GPS capabilities was stolen, and police were able, with the assistance of the owner, to track the vehicle through the streets of The Pas.

The truck was seen going at a slow speed on Cathedral Avenue, where it ran through a stop sign. A traffic stop was initiated. Allan Knight, 24, from Swan River, was the driver. He was placed under arrest. It was found that he did not have a licence. He was transported to The Pas RCMP Detachment.

When officers were placing Knight in the cell area at the detachment, he uttered threats to harm an officer and then assaulted one of the officers, who had to attend hospital for treatment. The officer has since been released from hospital.

Knight is facing numerous charges, including Assaulting a Peace Officer. He is remanded in custody.
