Summerside Police and East Prince RCMP made a joint traffic stop in St Eleanors PEI on Sunday that led to the arrest of a 28-year-old man and the seizure of drugs and guns.
In the early morning of April 16th, Summerside Police and East Prince RCMP conducted a traffic stop that led to the arrest of a 28-year-old man. Police arrested the man and seized 106g of methamphetamine, 245 Methamphetamine pills, 60g of cocaine and two firearms. The accused was charged with drug and firearm offences, and was remanded in custody until his next court appearance on May 3rd in Summerside Provincial Court. This investigation is ongoing.
The Prince District JFO and the RCMP National Weapons Enforcement Support Team assisted RCMP and Summerside Police in this investigation. The Prince District JFO drug unit is comprised of members of the Prince District RCMP, Summerside Police Services, and Kensington Police Services.
