Stolen snowmobile crashes into unoccupied residence in Nain, RCMP seeks public’s assistance

Nain RCMP is investigating the crash of a stolen snowmobile into a residence in the community that occurred on March 25, 2023.

Shortly after 2:00 a.m., police received the report and attended the scene. A snowmobile had collided with the side of the residence and came to rest inside the home, which was unoccupied at the time of the collision. The operator/occupant(s) of the snowmobile had fled the scene prior to police arrival.

Shortly after the crash occurred, police received a report of a stolen snowmobile from within the community, matching the one involved in the collision.

The investigation is continuing.

Nain RCMP is seeking the public's assistance in identifying the driver/occupant(s) of the snowmobile.
