RCMP seeking public’s help following hit and run involving a pedestrian

The St. Stephen RCMP is seeking the public's help following a hit and run collision involving a pedestrian in the community.

On July 16, 2023, at approximately 7 p.m., members of the St. Stephen RCMP responded to a report of a hit and run collision involving a pedestrian near the intersection of Route 740 and Hayman Avenue, also known as the Four Corners intersection. A black or dark colored half ton pickup, unknown make and model struck a pedestrian. A male with a beard would have exited the truck and approached the victim before leaving the scene. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital with what were believed to be serious injuries.

The St. Stephen RCMP is asking residents of Route 740 and Hayman Avenue to check their security systems to see if they can observe a vehicle a matching vehicle between the times of 6:30 p.m and 7:30 p.m on July 16, 2023. Anyone who has information that may help further the investigation, is asked to contact the St. Stephen RCMP at 506-466-7030. The investigation is ongoing.
