On July 29, 2023, at approximately 1:30 am, Norway House RCMP received a report of a home invasion at a residence located in the community.
Officers attended the location and spoke with four victims who advised that two male suspects, one of which was armed with a sawed-off rifle, the other a knife, entered the home and threatened the occupants.
A fight ensued which resulted in one suspect fleeing the scene on foot and the other being held until police arrived.
RCMP located a 34-year-old male suspect on scene who was subsequently transported to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries where he remains in stable condition. Once cleared from the hospital, he will be arrested and remanded into custody on a number of charges including Breaking and Entering, Assault with Weapon x2, Careless Use of a Firearm, Point Firearm and other weapons-related offences.
The second suspect, 35-year-old Cory Keeper, was located and arrested without incident. He was remanded into custody on charges including Breaking and Entering, Assault with Weapon x2 and Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose.
The four victims were treated and released for minor physical injuries.
Norway House RCMP continue to investigate.
