61-year-old man deceased following two-vehicle collision

A 61-year-old man has died following a collision between a motorcycle and a vehicle in Mill Cove, N.B.

On October 28, 2023, at approximately 2 p.m., members of the Oromocto RCMP detachment responded to a report of a collision between a motorcycle and a vehicle on Route 105 in Mill Cove. The driver of the
motorcycle, a 61-year-old man from Salmon River Road, N.B., died at the scene as a result of his injuries. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was not injured.

Circumstances surrounding the collision and its cause, remain under investigation.

Members of the Jemseg Fire Department, Ambulance New Brunswick, and an RCMP collision reconstructionist also attended the scene. A member of the New Brunswick Coroner's office is assisting with the investigation and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the man's exact cause of death.

The Oromocto RCMP would also like to recognize and thank the four bystanders who, in an attempt to save the motorcyclist's life, performed CPR until the arrival of first responders.

The investigation is ongoing.
