37-year-old man dies following two-vehicle collision

A 37-year-old man from Miramichi, N.B., has died following a two-vehicle collision in Douglas, N.B.

On July 12, 2023, at approximately 2 p.m., members of the Keswick RCMP detachment responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision between an SUV and a dump truck on Highway 105 in Douglas. The driver and sole occupant of the SUV died at the scene as a result of his injuries. The driver and sole occupant of the dump truck was transported to hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Members of the Keswick Fire Department, Ambulance New Brunswick, Department of Justice and Public Safety, the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure, and an RCMP Collision Reconstructionist also attended the scene.

A member of the New Brunswick Coroner's Office attended the scene and is assisting with the ongoing investigation. An autopsy will be scheduled to determine the man's exact cause of death.
