36-year-old man dies following single-vehicle crash

A 36-year-old man from the Local Service District (LSD) of Drummond, N.B., has died following a single-vehicle crash in the community.

On August 5, 2023, at approximately 10:15 p.m., members of the Saint-Léonard RCMP, Ambulance New Brunswick, and Drummond Fire Department responded to a report of a side-by-side that crashed on 3rd Rang Road in the LSD of Drummond.

The 36-year-old driver died at the scene as a result of his injuries. The passenger, and only other occupant of the side-by-side, was uninjured. The crash is believed to have occurred when the driver of the side-by-side lost control of the vehicle, and left the roadway.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist and a member of the New Brunswick Coroner's office are assisting with the ongoing investigation.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine the man's exact cause of death.

The investigation is ongoing.
