A 24-year-old man has died following a single-vehicle crash in Saint-Louis de Kent, N.B.

On September 30, 2023, at approximately 5:20 p.m., members of the Richibucto RCMP detachment, the St-Louis de Kent Fire Department and Ambulance New Brunswick responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash on Cap Saint Louis Road in Saint-Louis de Kent, involving a pickup truck. The driver, a 24-year-old man from Albion, PEI, died at the scene as a result of his injuries. A 28-year-old man, and only other passenger of the pickup, was transported to the hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries.

The crash is believed to have occurred when the driver lost control of the vehicle and entered the ditch.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist and a member of the New Brunswick Coroner's office are both assisting with the investigation. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the man's exact cause of death.

The investigation is ongoing.
