Yarmouth Rural RCMP investigating serious crash

Yarmouth Rural RCMP is investigating a serious crash that occurred on Black Pond Rd. in Little River Harbour.

On November 22, 2022, at approximately 4:05 p.m., Yarmouth Rural RCMP, fire and EHS responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on Black Pond Rd. in Little River Harbour. RCMP officers learned that a pickup truck had been travelling on Black Pond Rd. when the driver lost control, resulting in the truck rolling before coming to rest.

The driver and sole occupant, a 23-year-old Yarmouth man, suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital in Yarmouth by ambulance, then transported to hospital in Halifax by LifeFlight.

A collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.

Black Pond Rd. was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
