On Jan. 28, 2022, members of the Western Alberta District Rural Crime Reduction Unit with the assistance of the RCMP Emergency Response Team, Police Dog Services, Western Alberta District General Investigation Section and the Valleyview Detachment executed a property crime search warrant at a residence east of Debolt, Alta.
During the search RCMP recovered five stolen vehicles, a stolen industrial heater trailer and two handguns. Evidence recovered during the search also indicated that the property had been used for stripping industrial copper wire, which RCMP believe was stolen from oil and gas sites in the area.
"The property recovered during this search was stolen from several different locations in the rural area surrounding Valleyview, Alta. as well as the Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation over a period of several months," says Sgt. Chris Power of the Rural Crime Unit. "Our unit is committed to providing support to RCMP detachments in their efforts to reduce crime in rural Alberta and bring those responsible before the courts."
RCMP have charged A 28-year-old female with multiple property and firearm offenses. She has not been located and arrest warrants have been issued.
The 28-year-old female:
- 5 feet 2 inches tall (157 cm)
- 163 lbs (74 kgs)
- Brown hair
- Brown eyes
- Medium complexion
