A 45-year-old woman from Six Roads, N.B. and a 23-year-old woman from Sainte-Rose, have been arrested following a drug investigation in Six Roads.

In July 2022, members of the Tracadie RCMP began an investigation into the trafficking of illegal drugs in Six Roads.

On September 30, at approximately 6:30 p.m., members of the Tracadie Detachment executed a search warrant at a residence on Ferguson Road as part of the investigation. During the search, police seized quantities of what is believed to be crack cocaine, cocaine, methamphetamine, psilocybin, numerous prescription pills, and money. Police also seized an unsafely stored firearm, three replica handguns, and drug trafficking paraphernalia. Two women were arrested at the scene.

The 45-year-old woman was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Bathurst Provincial Court on May 1, 2023. The 23-year-old woman was also later released.

Members of the Caraquet Detachment, Tracadie RCMP Crime Reduction Unit, Chaleur Region RCMP Forensic Identification Section, and Chaleur Region RCMP Police Dog services assisted with the investigation.
