Thompson RCMP searches lead to seizure of drugs and cash

On July 27, 2022, as a result of an ongoing investigation, RCMP officers with the Thompson General Investigation Section (GIS) along with assistance from the Emergency Response Team (ERT), the North District CREST unit and Thompson Detachment executed a series of search warrants at five separate locations within the City of Thompson.

As a result of these searches, officers seized approximately 314 grams of cocaine, 719 grams of cannabis, over $20,000.00 in cash and other drug-related paraphernalia.

Matt Delaronde (32) of Thompson, Teasloach Lual (25) of Edmonton and David Chatkana (26) of Winnipeg were arrested on scene and remanded into custody for a court appearance scheduled today in Thompson Provincial Court where they will face charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Proceeds of Crime.

Three other males (33, 20, 19) and a female (51) from Thompson, were released for a court appearance scheduled October 28, 2022, in Thompson Provincial Court.

Thompson RCMP continue to investigate.
