Thompson RCMP investigate damage to float planes

On October 5, 2022, at approximately 2:20 pm, Thompson RCMP were notified of significant damage to two float planes on Assean Lake, on Tataskwayak Cree Nation.

Sometime overnight both planes were shot at with a firearm and had multiple bullet holes.

One plane is owned by the community of Tataskwayak Cree Nation, and the other is privately owned. Due to the damage, both planes will most likely be declared total losses and the value is estimated to be approximately $850,000.00.
