RCMP Traffic Services Central seized four vehicles for various infractions while conducting enforcement between Grand Falls-Windsor and Bishops Falls earlier this week.

On Tuesday, officers conducted patrols in Grand Falls-Windsor and Bishops Falls. In addition to various traffic tickets issued, police seized two vehicles that were being operated by suspended drivers and another two vehicles that were being operated without insurance.

Earlier this month, RCMP Traffic Services Central teamed up with Parks Canada in Terra Nova Park to conduct speed enforcement. In just over an hour, officers issued approximately a dozen tickets for speeding, with one driver traveling in excess of 51 km/h above the posted speed limit.

RCMP NL Traffic Services consists of officers dedicated to road safety with specialized training in the area of speed detection and impaired driving. These officers patrol the Trans-Canada Highway and various roads throughout the province, primarily enforcing the Highway Traffic Act and Criminal Code of Canada for driving offences.
