Island Lake RCMP investigate aggravated assault

On April 15, 2022, at approximately 10:20 pm, Island Lake RCMP received a report of a stabbing at a residence in Wasagamack First Nation, Manitoba. The 34-year-old male victim was transported to Winnipeg hospital, where he remains in stable condition.

Investigation has determined that the male was outside on a property in the community when two individuals – a male and a female – approached the victim and an argument broke out. The victim was then physically assaulted.

Island Lake RCMP have arrested Hannah Comber, 33, and Robert Comber, 34, for the incident. Hannah is charged with Aggravated Assault and Assault with a Weapon. Robert is charged with Aggravated Assault, Assault with a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, and Uttering Threats. They remain in custody.

The investigation continues.
