The Grand Bay-Westfield RCMP is renewing its appeal to the public in efforts to locate 76-year-old Paul Doughty, of Musquash, N.B., who was reported missing a year ago.
Paul Doughty was last seen on August 18, 2021, at a business near McKay Loop Road and Route 175, in the Pennfield area. He was reported missing to police the following day. On September 1, 2021, Paul's vehicle was located approximately ten kilometres north-east from McKay's blueberry stand, also near Pennfield.
"Each report of a missing person is taken very seriously by the New Brunswick RCMP," says Sgt. Luc Samson of the Grand Bay-Westfield RCMP. "This remains an active investigation, our priority is to locate Paul Doughty and bring answers to his family, his loved ones and his community."
Paul Doughty is described as being five feet seven inches (170 centimetres) tall, and weighing approximately 100 pounds (45 kilograms). He has short grey hair and brown eyes. When last seen, Paul was wearing a black and white plaid long-sleeved button-up shirt over a black t-shirt, blue jeans and grey sneakers. He was also wearing a camouflage baseball hat and a black cloth mask.
