Bay St. George RCMP is continuing to search for 30-year-old Tyler Hennessey of Stephenville who has been missing since September 30, 2022.
On Saturday, police received the report and initiated a search with the assistance of Stephenville Search and Rescue (SAR). Hennessey's unoccupied vehicle, a 2005 4-door gold colored Chevrolet Cavalier (NL plate HJA421), was located on a gravel road near Marches Point.
Extensive ground searches by Stephenville SAR and an aerial search, conducted by Government Air Services, were conducted on Sunday. Hennessey has not been located.
Hennessey is described as being five feet six inches tall, approximately 150 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a black Helly Hansen jacket, black pants and a red and yellow hoodie.
Police are asking the public to check any possible surveillance footage captured between Thursday afternoon (September 29) and Friday morning (September 30, 2022), especially in the following communities:
- Felix Cove
- Campbells Creek
- Abrahams Cove
- Ship Cove
- Lower Cove
- Sheaves Cove
- Marches Point
- Red Brook
- De Grau
