Update: RCMP identify body discovered in Lennox Island

The Prince Edward Island RCMP has identified a body that was discovered last week in Lennox Island, PEI.

On November 12, 2021, at approximately 12:45 p.m., the RCMP helicopter located a body in a heavily wooded area. Members of the Prince District RCMP, Major Crime Unit and RCMP helicopter assisted with the recovery of the body.

The body has since been positively identified as the missing 28-year-old man from Lennox Island, who was reported missing on August 25.

The investigation into the cause of death continues. Anyone who has information that may further the investigation is asked to contact the Major Crime Unit at 902-566-8417.

The RCMP extends its condolences to the man's family and friends.
