Rocky Mountain House RCMP – Update – Subject in custody

The RCMP would like to thank the public, media outlets and residents of Cow Lake for their assistance in identifying the male subject in this incident. A 47-year old male of Rocky Mountain House has turned himself into the Rocky Mountain House RCMP Detachment this afternoon.

"The response from the media to assisting the police was perfect" said Sgt. Trevor Shea – Operations NCO of Rocky Mountain House RCMP "with the continued support of our local community, these responses collectively aided in the decision for the 47-year old to turn himself in without further incident. Thank you!"

The investigation continues this evening. At this time charges have not been sworn before the Provincial Court, identity of the accused can not be provided until charges are sworn.
