Lloydminster RCMP arrest three individuals after significant drug seizure

On April 29, 2021, at approximately 4:30 p.m., Lloydminster RCMP General Investigation Section and Crime Reduction Unit members performed a traffic stop on a vehicle in a parking lot of a local hotel in the 5400 Block of 44 Street. During the interaction, RCMP determined that the driver had a suspended driver's licence. A further investigation of the driver and occupants revealed that the occupants were in possession of a large quantity of drugs. RCMP seized over 400 grams of methamphetamine and cocaine, with a significant street value.

A 26-year-old male and a 41-year-old male of Saulteaux First Nation, Cochin, Sask. have been charged with:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking x 2

A 33-year-old male of North Battleford, Sask. has been charged with:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking x 2
  • Obstruct peace officer
  • Resisting arrest
  • Identity fraud
  • Fail to comply with release order condition x 3

The 33-year-old male was under conditions at this time stemming from a large scale drug trafficking file in North Battleford on March 19, 2021.

All three accused were released by a Justice of the Peace to attend Lloydminster Alberta Provincial Court on May 25, 2021.
