In compliance with the Iqaluit wide restrictions beginning April 15, 2021, Iqaluit RCMP Detachment will be closed for non-emergency calls for service beginning immediately. The availability of front counter services and criminal record checks will be suspended until further notice.
The RCMP in Iqaluit want to reassure the community, we remain fully operational and responding to calls for service supporting community and public safety during this COVID-19 global pandemic. As a community, we need to work together to maintain public safety through our responsible actions and support of one another during this challenging time. In support of this effort, officers will be wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as mask and gloves. These practices will ensure the RCMP maintains officer and public safety in accordance with the guidelines of the Federal and Territorial Governments.
