Dog shot and injured in Hopedale, RCMP seeks public’s assistance

This dog was shot and injured in Hopedale on August 20, 2021.

Hopedale RCMP is seeking the public's assistance as they continue to investigate a report of a dog that was shot in the community on August 20, 2021.

The animal had broken free from its lead and later returned home with a noticeable injury. The dog was transported to a veterinary clinic in Happy Valley-Goose Bay for medical treatment where it was confirmed that it had been shot with a rifle.

The investigation is continuing.
