Giving someone drugs without their consent is a crime

Queens RCMP responded to a business in Greenfield following a report that one employee had given butter laced with cannabis oil to an unsuspecting employee. Initial reports indicate the suspect employee told other employees the butter was just flavoured butter and not laced with cannabis oil. After consuming the butter the employee started to feel unwell and contacted the police.

The investigation is ongoing and no charges have been laid at this time. The RCMP would like to remind the public that giving a drug to someone without their knowledge or consent is a crime and police will investigate complaints of this nature.
