RCMP investigating fire at “Old Arena” in Point Amour

On May 18, 2019, at approximately 9:15 a.m., Forteau RCMP and firefighters from Forteau and L'Anse-au-Loup Fire Departments responded to a fire at the "Old Arena" in Point Amour.

The building, which is used as a storage facility for recreational vehicles, boats, campers, motor homes, vehicles, etc., was fully engulfed upon arrival of emergency personnel, with extensive damage to all property inside.

A RCMP fire investigator attended and completed an investigation of the scene. There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
