Prior to being named as the Commanding Officer of the Manitoba RCMP, she served as the Director of Parliamentary Protective Service in Ottawa where she oversaw the physical security mandate for the Parliament of Canada, including the protection of hundreds of parliamentarians, thousands of employees, and millions of visitors across the Parliamentary Precinct.

A/Commr. MacLatchy is married and a grandmother to a young grandson whom she loves to spoil. She is a dog lover with three rescue dogs. In her spare time, she enjoys riding and training horses as well as camping.
