On May 27, 2018 Stony Plain/ Spruce Grove/ Enoch RCMP with assistance of the Spruce Grove/ Stony Plain Rural Crime Reduction Unit (CRU), K Division Auto Theft, Forensic Identification Services, and Police Dog Services executed a search warrant at a rural residence in Parkland County. Police entered into the investigation as a result of a complaint from the public regarding a suspicious vehicle.
A 31-year-old male from Stony Plain was arrested and faces numerous charges including:
- Possession of stolen property over $5000
- Tampering with a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
- Production of marijuana
- Trafficking marijuana
- Trafficking a substance believed to be fentanyl
- Possession of methamphetamine
He was released from custody to appear in Stony Plain Provincial Court on May 30, 2018.
