Deer Lake RCMP advise of major flooding in the Goose Arm area, approximately 12 kilometres from Grand Stone Road. Due to a draining problem at Bottomless Pond, water levels have risen up to 12 feet above normal, flooding access roads and cabins.

Police are asking boaters to stay off the water in the area in the event of sudden draining.

The RCMP is currently working with Provincial Government resources to monitor the situation and are asking the general public to stay away from the area until further notice.
