RCMP asking property owners near Port Elgin for assistance in search for missing man

The Southeast District RCMP is asking property owners near Port Elgin to check their properties as part of the ongoing search for a missing 28-year-old man.

Tyler Fillmore was reported missing to police on the morning of November 26, 2017. The same day, his vehicle was located off John A Trenholm Road in Port Elgin, and some of his personal belongings were found on a nearby wooded trail.

Police have confirmed that more personal items belonging to Tyler Fillmore were discovered in a trailer in the Upper Cape area on November 30, 2017. There have also been several reported sightings of him in the area, however the information was not given to police until some time had passed.

"If you see someone resembling Tyler Fillmore's description in the area, we need you to contact police immediately so we can follow up," says Sgt. Paul Gagné of the Southeast District RCMP Sackville Detachment. "If you have cottages, trailers or outbuildings in the area that are not in regular use this time of year, please check them and report any unusual activity, or anything out of place, that may help us locate Mr. Fillmore."

Tyler Fillmore is described as Caucasian, 5'7" tall, weighing 142 pounds with a slim build with red hair and green eyes.
