Members of the Codiac Regional RCMP and the Greater Moncton Professional Fire Departments (Moncton/Dieppe/Riverview) are gearing up for the big 'Battle of the Badges' in support of the #Beccatoldmeto campaign. This campaign was launched by 17-year-old Rebecca Schofield, who has terminal brain cancer. She is asking people to perform acts of kindness in her honour. As per her wishes, proceeds from the game will go to the Sears National Kids Cancer Ride.
The game will take place on Friday, March 24 at the Superior Propane Centre, 55 Russ Howard Drive in Moncton. A ceremonial puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Guests of honour will include Rebecca Schofield and her family, Moncton Centre MLA Chris Collins on behalf of the Sears National Kids Cancer Ride, as well as fire and police representatives. Admission will be by donation at the door and seating is general admission.
Everyone is invited to join in this family-friendly event in support of a great cause!
