On July, 3, 2024, at approximately 5 a.m., Wetaskiwin RCMP recovered a stolen vehicle in the town of Millet. Through further investigation, RCMP were led to believe that there were more stolen items at a rural location not to far out of Millet.
RCMP applied for a warrant to search the property, and it was granted in the early afternoon. At approximately 3 p.m., the warrant was executed by Wetaskiwin RCMP Crime Reduction Unit, Police Dog Services and General Duty Members. Wetaskiwin RCMP recovered two stolen pickup trucks and a bail hauler from the property. RCMP arrested a 48-year-old individual, a resident of Edmonton.
The individual is facing charges of one count of Possession of Stolen Property and two counts for failing to comply with previous release conditions.
The individual was taken before a justice of the peace and remanded into custody and is scheduled to be in at the Alberta Court of Justice in Wetaskiwin on July 5, 2024.
