St. Albert RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS) arrested an individual in relation to the Century Casino robbery that occurred on Nov. 12, 2023. After a lengthy investigation, St. Albert GIS traveled to Regina, and on March 26, 2024, with the assistance of Regina Police Service, located and arrested the suspect without incident.
A 49-year-old individual, a resident of Regina was charged with the following:
- Robbery with Imitation Firearm
- Use of Imitation Firearm
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
- Carry Concealed Weapon
The individual was transported from Regina to St. Albert by sheriffs, was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in St. Albert on April 8, 2024.

St. Albert RCMP investigate armed robbery to Casino
On Nov. 12, 2023 at 3:52 p.m., St. Albert RCMP received a report of an armed robbery to the Century Casino in St. Albert. A lone male entered the casino, produced a firearm and demanded money.
The suspect left the casino and entered a dark coloured Jeep Cherokee.
Police are not disclosing the amount of money taken.
While RCMP investigate, we are asking for public assistance in identifying the suspect.
The suspect is described as:
- Light complexion
- In his 40's
- Approx. 5 feet 5 inches tall
- Wearing a black mask, black ball cap, black gloves, dark jacket, black hoodie, blue jeans.
