The Shediac RCMP is asking for the public's help to identify a person or persons of interest following break, enter and theft incidents in Cap-Pelé, N.B.

Two separate incidents are believed to have occurred on February 6 and on February 18 at the Aboiteau Wharf. No pictures are currently available.

One or more individuals forcefully gained entry to a shed and stole a large quantity of tools, dock installation equipment and electrical wiring worth more than $13,000.

Anyone who lives in the area and witnessed suspicious activity between February 6 and February 18, or who has information that could help further the investigation is asked to contact the Shediac Region RCMP at 506-533-5151. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), by downloading the secure P3 Mobile App, or by Secure Web Tips at www.crimenb.ca.

The RCMP would like to advise the public that attending a wharf or being near open bodies of water in the evening when there is minimal light and visibility can pose significant safety risks. Police are encouraging individuals to only attend such locations during the day-time, or during operating hours.

The investigation is ongoing.
