Update: RCMP seeking public’s help following break, enter and theft

Update - February 22, 2024: Police were able to identify and arrest a 13-year-old youth in connection with this investigation, who was later released, and will appear in court at a later date. A second youth, a 16-year-old, was also identified in connection with the investigation, and has since been charged with break and enter, and failing to comply with a release order. Police are still asking that anyone with information that could help further the investigation contact the St. George RCMP at 506-755-1130.

The St. George RCMP is asking for the public's help following a break, enter and theft in St. George, N.B.

The incident is believed to have occurred on January 22, 2024, at approximately 4 p.m. at a business on Mill Avenue and was reported to police the next day.

Four individuals gained entry to a fenced-in area and then a secure building, and fled the scene with approximately $1200 worth of safety clothing.

Anyone who lives in the area and witnessed suspicious activity on January 22, or who has information that could help further the investigation is asked to contact the St. George RCMP at 506-755-1130. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), by downloading the secure P3 Mobile App, or by Secure Web Tips at www.crimenb.ca.

The investigation is ongoing.
