RCMP seeking public’s help following assault

The Chaleur Region RCMP is asking for the public's help following an assault in Tremblay, N.B.

On June 19, 2024, at approximately 5:47 a.m., members of the Chaleur Region RCMP responded to a report of an assault at an event in Tremblay, where an 18-year-old man was assaulted by a group of individuals. He was transported to hospital with serious injuries, and remains in intensive care.

"No one has come forward yet, however, we know there were approximately 200 young people at the event in Tremblay," says Sgt. Jean-Francois Dulac with the Chaleur Region RCMP. "Someone knows what happened. If you have information regarding this incident, please get in touch with us."

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the assault, or who may have information that could help further the investigation, to contact the Chaleur Region RCMP at 506-548-7771. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), by downloading the secure P3 Mobile App, or by Secure Web Tips at www.crimenb.ca.

The investigation is ongoing.
