RCMP asking for public’s help following home invasion

The Chaleur Region RCMP detachment is asking for the public's help to further a home invasion investigation in Canobie, N.B.

On June 22, 2024, at approximately 1:45 a.m., members of the Chaleur Region RCMP detachment responded to a report of a home invasion at a residence in Canobie. Two men forcefully entered the residence by breaking a door window, and were confronted by one of the homeowners. One homeowner was assaulted with a weapon by one of the individuals, and was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The individuals left the residence on foot. Nothing was stolen during the incident.

Anyone who may have information about the home invasion, or who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area during the early morning hours of June 22, is asked to contact the Chaleur Region RCMP at 506-548-7771. The investigation is ongoing.
