On August 31, 2024, as part of an ongoing investigation into firearm offences in the community, Powerview RCMP along with assistance from the Emergency Response Team, Police Dog Services and additional specialized support teams, executed search warrants at three residences in Black River First Nation.
Officers seized long guns, multiple CO2 guns, weapons, cocaine, cash and drug trafficking materials.
Four adults were arrested.
Vanessa Pruden, 39, is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.
Jessica Bear 28, is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon when knowing Possession is Unauthorized.
Ryan Henderson, 41, is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon when knowing Possession is Unauthorized.
All three were released from custody on an Undertaking with an upcoming court date.
Russell Harry, 51, is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Disobey Court Order x2. He was released on a release order.
Powerview RCMP continue to investigate.
