On May 1, 2024, shortly after 3 p.m., Okotoks RCMP were dispatched to a possible shooting in the area of Sheep River Court, Okotoks.
Preliminary investigation revealed a 53-year-old male suffered a gun shot wound and has since been flown by STARS air ambulance to a Calgary hospital. The male victim is in serious but stable condition.
A 26-year-old individual has been taken into custody with charges pending.
This was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.
RCMP will be in the area while they conduct their investigation.
